~The Big Cheese~

Smile! as you will be loaded with various types of cheese packed under slices of bread. My very first thought, it will be loaded with cheese and cheese oh and i forgot, cheese. The price was ranging from RM 16 to RM 19 depends on which type you choose, and each set comes with either 2 sides or 1 drink + 1 sides. So there is standard cheese, Chili con carne cheese, tomato basil, bacon. Wait bacon? Guess which one i ordered :) .When it arrived at my table i must say i kinda dissapointed because ti does not look like it has much cheese at all, i tried the sides first, fries was ok with some pepper on it, coleslaw was ok with a tangy taste, and then i grab my sandwich. Good lord, it was smothered with butter and when i sink my first bite in it. Heaven. Despite the lack of cheesiness, it is actually loaded with cheese flavor and the crispy toast lather generously with butter helps too, bacon is, just bacon (is there really any other way to put it?) i was thinking the portion-wise it will not satisfied people with my size. I was Wrong. I was more than satisfied. Just a little tip here, as you swallow those sandwich 1 after 1, you may start to feel 'Jelat'. So the best way is to take a few bites of salad to refresh your palate and your are good to go.

When in doubt, always look for the food you know best that will not disappoint you.
In this case when i have a craving for steak and does not want to spend a fortune for it, this is the right place.

Escargot with creamy garlic sauce, the escargot was not too bad, of course you dont expect the kind of freshness you could get from a proper seafood restaurant but at least it doesnt shrivel too much. The Sauce however was really great,  we wiped the sauce cream with the bread ala 'roti banjir' style.

Behold the start of the day! The Striploin steak, a good 300 gram of meatyness. Cooked medium rare (i wouldnt have it any other ways) along with baked potato and mushroom sauce. The sauce was creamy and savory which goes well with the steak but still i believe the best way to eat a good steak just as it is with a little salt & pepper.

Last but not least the dessert! What really caught my eyes was the rum & raisin ice cream. I mean nothing could go wrong with ice cream correct? Wrong. The ice crystal could prove fatal for a good ice cream, in this case there wasn't much of it, but it is not as smooth as i imagined it would be. Still taste-wise it was ok.

Overall the food is great, the price is reasonable and the quality was maintained throughout the years. Despite some hit & miss (mostly hit i kid you not) do give it a try.
